St. Mark’s Spiritual Formation Ministry is designed to help you grow as a fully developing follower of Jesus Christ by offering opportunities based around the five core values found in the life of Christ and the New Testament-Acts 2 church (community, growth, worship, service and reaching). It is our belief that as you pursue your spiritual journey in these five areas, you will discover greater intimacy with God, meaningful connection with other believers, and unconditional love for unchurched people. Dates and times of these opportunities are available at the information center or by calling the church office at 584-8983.


COMMUNITY
This value emphasizes connection with God through a personal relationship based on the saving grace of Jesus Christ, and connection with others in loving, authentic relationships through participation in Small Groups.

Newcomer’s Coffee is a get acquainted gathering (held every other month) set in a casual, informal atmosphere following each of the weekend services. The Newcomer’s Coffee is designed to help those new to St. Mark’s meet the staff and discover the many opportunities available for them to get connected in the church.

Participating Membership is a three-week study that challenges you to discover the heart of St. Mark’s and the important connection between church membership and the life God invites you to live. This study allows you to investigate membership at St. Mark’s without feeling the pressure to join.

Group Links is a one evening event designed to introduce people to the St. Mark’s Small Group Model and to others who would like to be in a small group.


GROWTH
This value emphasizes growth in Christlikeness through the ongoing development of the necessary disciplines that help to produce spiritual transformation.

Tough Questions is an open discussion forum that offers skeptics, seekers and believers alike the opportunity to wrestle with some of the biggest questions about God and Christianity.

Starting Point is a five-week study for those beginning or reconnecting to a relationship with God. Set in a small group, you can ask questions and learn the basics of being in a relationship with Christ in a safe, understanding atmosphere.

Foundations is an eight-week study in a small group setting where you explore an overview of the essential beliefs of the Christian faith. Through your study and dialogue with group members, you grow in your understanding of these beliefs and how they apply to your life.

DISCIPLE Bible Study is a 34-week journey through the Scriptures from Genesis to Revelation. As a participant in this small group study, you will learn God’s story and the role He calls you to play in it as a disciple who walks with Him. No previous experience with Bible study is required.


WORSHIP
This value focuses on actively living out our full devotion to God through the daily routine of our lives.

An Ordinary Day with Jesus is a six-week study designed to help you learn in practical ways to recognize and welcome Christ’s presence into every moment of your day and experience the kind of ongoing, close connection to God everyone desires.


SERVICE
This value emphasizes the importance of serving according to our spiritual gifts and the giving of our material resources to honor God and support St. Mark’s.

Network/Spiritual Gifts Workshop will help you find your place of service as you discover your spiritual gifts, passion and unique personal style in a discussion-based class.

Good Sense Budgeting Workshop is a course designed to assist you in learning the biblical principles of managing money and specific ways to improve your financial health.


REACHING
This value focuses on sharing the message of Christ with others in our immediate circle of relational influence.

Becoming a Contagious Christian is a highly practical, skill based seminar designed to help you learn to communicate your faith in a style that reflects your personality.
