Children at St. Mark's

What about my kids?
Our children's ministry, (Construction Company), provides a safe, fun and sometimes loud experience for kids age 4 through fifth grade. With drama, puppets, live music, videos and creative teaching, children at St. Mark’s learn about God, His love for them, and how they can love others.

We also provide a nursery for children (birth through age three) staffed with loving volunteers who will provide the utmost in attentive child care. We are committed to providing an inviting, warm and safe environment for all our children so that you can enjoy your worship experience knowing that your children will be carefully and lovingly cared for.

We’re committed to teaching children principles that will impact their character, judgment and self-assurance in this ever-challenging world. Your children will come away talking about the teaching, the fun, and the people who care for them!

What makes this church unique?
Our weekend services present the timeless truths of Christianity in a way that impacts people and their lives today. No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, you can grow in your understanding of Christianity at these services.

Is this a Christian Church, or something else?
Though non-traditional in style, St. Mark's Church is deeply committed to the eternal truths of the Christ faith. Our vision is simple: to become a biblically functioning community of believers and fully developing followers of Christ so that God’s purposes can be accomplished in this world. Our mission is equally clear: to help spiritual seekers become followers of Jesus Christ and to connect every person to Christ and to other Christian people.

Small Groups

Why do we have small groups at St. Mark’s?
At St. Mark’s, we believe that the small group environment is the best place where relational connection and change occurs in a person’s life. Small Groups are where real life and real issues are discussed. This is the environment where we celebrate the successes and good times of life, as well as comfort one another during the tough and disappointing times. It is a place where you are encouraged to investigate the claims Jesus made about himself and discover what it means to become a fully developing follower of Christ.

Who can be in a small group?
Anyone can be in a St. Mark’s Small Group. You don’t have to be a member or even an attendee of the church to participate. We encourage those who call St. Mark’s their home church to extend an invitation to neighbors, co-workers, and friends to join them in group life.

How long does a small group last?
At St. Mark’s, there is no set length of time that a small group lasts. Some groups have chosen to meet for 12-24 months while other groups have been meeting for several years. We believe that healthy groups that embrace the values of the ministry are maturing and developing groups of people committed to caring for one another and reaching out to others looking to connect in group life.

If you are looking for an intro group experience, we also offer Starter Groups which are an introductory step into group life that last approximately six weeks. At the end of six weeks, group members can decide to continue and extend their commitment or dissolve and find other groups. The length of time that your group will meet together is decided by your group.

Worship Arts

What's the music like at St. Mark’s?
The Old Testament book of Psalms says, “Magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt His name forever.” (Psalm 34: 3) Our emphasis is not on what FORM our worship should take but rather what the FOCUS of our worship should be. The focus of our worship at St. Mark’s is God and Christ, His Son, period. In terms of the form (musical style) we use virtually every musical style imaginable, as some say, “from Bach to Rock.” We have choirs and choral groups, vocal ensembles and worship teams, rhythm bands, piano and organ to guitars and drums are used to help us worship God. We are seeking to reclaim all forms of “art” to praise the God of universe.
